It’s pantomime season again, oh yes it is, and Uckfield Theatre Guild have once again been asked by the Civic Centre Uckfield to provide pantomime entertainment for the residents of Uckfield and the surrounding areas. This year, the Guild are pleased to present The Sleeping Beauty.

Due to a curse, the Princess Rose has to be kept protected until her 21st birthday. But on the eve of her birthday, the bad Fairy strikes and places a hex on her which sends her to sleep. Faced with the task of finding a prince whose kiss shall awake her, the Princess’ friends and the other fairies set off.

With plenty of dancing and singing, and booing and cheering, this is a great early Christmas treat for children and adults alike.

The Uckfield Theatre Guild is a community group run by amateur musical theatre enthusiasts. All of our actors and actresses are amateurs and perform on a voluntary basis, they are not paid for their work. We are privileged to have a Director who is also a Member, and try to use local musicians for the pit band (who are paid).
